One quality ladder. Volume models (BRAIN, MAX, OMNI) use 16GB system RAM, dual M.2 + Hailo-8L, and fast internal NVMe so they can watch and talk at once. Dual face cameras are movable across front, side, and back docks. PRO is the specialized GenAI fork (AI HAT+ 2). Higher volume tiers grow storage, runtime, and which sense kits ship with the build.

The ladder

BRAIN โ†’ PRO โ†’ MAX โ†’ OMNI. Kits attach from side docks and STEMMA ports โ€” the crown stays open for cooling (no chimney tubes). BRAIN/MAX/OMNI include live vision acceleration; PRO is the Hailo GenAI specialty path. Kits add climate, soil, GPS, night, and stereo depth.

Movable vision

Every unit ships two Camera Module 3 pods โ€” the same round black lenses you see as the face. Clip both into the front eye sockets for a normal face, or both-forward on the stereo bar for software depth stills (a depth map of the visible side of a quiet scene). Slide the same pods into the lower side or rear docks for perimeter lookouts โ€” left and right coverage without a different camera type. Unused bays take blank plates. Optional NoIR and Motion3D kits add night and hardware-synced depth โ€” add-ons, not a different product line.

Motion3D upgrade

Two eyes on every BRAIN can estimate depth for stills and quiet scenes (software stereo). Moving subjects need hardware-synced cameras โ€” that is Motion3D.

Motion3D is a Camarray CSI stereo HAT (GPIO + one camera port). It does not plug into the dual-M.2 top hat โ€” those two slots stay Hailo-8L and NVMe. Research parts are about $260 (Arducam B0492R list); retail kit price is not set. Included on OMNI. For 3D stills, use the stereo bar at about 80โ€“100 mm (bar range 60โ€“120 mm) โ€” face-eye spacing is a look, not the depth spec. MAX and BRAIN take the same kit.
